RetroChallenge 2026 is Nigh!

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN! RetroChallenge 2026!

What is RetroChallenge?

Retro Challenge was setup to encourage people all across the globe to challenge themselves for a month and document their achievements in the process!

The ACMS has been involved for many years, and this year they are stepping up to help make the challenge even more exciting.

Partners, Juicy Crumb, Zulu will be giving out prizes - including a $500AUD Voucher, Products from ZuluScsi. There’ll also be cool RetroChallenge merch like pins and keychains up for grabs too!

How to get involved

1. Fill in the sign up form: RetroChallenge sign up
2. Nominate a goal for the month of October
3. Sign up at forum.acms.org.au
4. Setup a stub and document your progress at the ACMS Forum

... and while you are at it, you could also sign up for the HACKADAY RetroComputing Contest.
We will follow along.
The ACMS and RetroChallenge judges will follow along and post updates to the community, provide encouragement, and allow the community to give you feedback (if asked!)
We will wrap up on the 31st with a Show and Tell at the ACMS on the 31st of October, all are welcome to dial in and share what they got up to with a 5 minute presentation.
Judges will review the forum and balance ingenuity, difficulty, outcomes and sheer passion to choose winners and announce them within 6 weeks.
